Matthew + Lauren | Ebenezer Presbyterian Wedding!

Matthew and Lauren’s Wedding was beautiful. I love sitting down with a couple before their wedding for a consultation and getting the details on their soon-approaching big day. When I met Matthew and Lauren at Panera two weeks before the wedding, I learned that so many elements of their marriage were sentimentally special and personal. Lauren designed their wedding invitations. Matthew’s grandfather officiated their wedding, and made their wedding bands! All of Lauren’s bridesmaids were either sisters of the bride and groom. We were so honored to be a part of their wedding day!

The church where Matthew and Lauren got married had very strict regulations on photography during the wedding ceremony. We weren’t allowed to take photos further than a certain point in the church, meaning we had to stay pretty far towards the back of the church. With the lighting being so dim, we weren’t able to get very many usable shots of the ceremony. One thing we would’ve done differently if we had a do-over: just go for the shots and ask forgiveness later rather than permission before 😉

Right as Lauren and Matthew were about the formally exit the reception hall, with all of their guests waiting outside with bubbles, Matthew’s mom tried to slip ahead of them to snap some photos of the newlyweds leaving. Matthew and Lauren came out so close behind her, however, that by the time she realized that she wasn’t going to get any pictures, she threw her arms up as if everyone was clapping for her! It was hilarious…
