Erin’s bridals were taken at a lovely venue called The Arbors in Cleveland, NC! The beautiful stone architecture mimicked the look of The Palisades Country Club where Erin was married last weekend. Erin looked absolutely stunning in her ivory A-line gown, and we loved her shoes- TOMS wedges! Ribald Farms arranged a beautiful bouquet to model what Erin’s bridal bouquet would look like on her wedding day. Enjoy these images from Erin’s gorgeous bridal session, and stay tuned for her wedding images, coming soon!
OMG. I know… we’re back from the dead! Haha… we have not had any weddings since the beginning of January, I have been killing myself finishing up my last semester of college ever (we’ll save the celebratory “what-WHAT’s” for a different blog-post), and Brian has been busy in the office with world-traveling and editing bridals for our spring brides. So we have not had a spare moment for blogging until, well, now.
We have been SO looking forward to Evin and Marissa’s engagement session! We couldn’t think of a better way to break out of our little hiatus than with a shoot in historic, downtown Charleston, SC! We love to shoot in Charleston… and of course, the day before their scheduled session, Marissa called me from Charleston to let us know that thunderstorms were on the forecast for the whole day. We rescheduled for the next day, and of course, about 30 minutes after Brian and I arrived in Charleston, it began raining like CRAZY! Haha… wouldn’t it be just our luck? Thank goodness it only rained for a bit, and as soon as the clouds cleared we had beautiful natural light! Evin and Marissa were so easy to photograph… they kept each other laughing and smiling, and of course their adorable dachshund, Roxy, only added to the cuteness of the images we came away with. Enjoy the images!
Yep… I cried at this one. Out of all the weddings we’ve photographed this year, I think Steven and Elise’s was one of our favorites. This had a lot to do with the fact that we were truly, genuinely happy for this couple to get married! They are both just so sweet… since the day we met them, we’ve seen them just radiate godly love towards others and to each other. Their whole wedding ceremony and reception were filled with family, attendants and guests who made it very evident that Steven and Elise were surrounded by people who truly love them. And we love photographing weddings that are filled with… well…love! The hand-made personal touches didn’t hurt either- Steven and Elise are both very musically talented and lead worship at their church, Eternal Church. Their decor was made from sheet music! Their colors were very unique- purple and navy, with maroon/burgundy accents. So inventive for a winter-time wedding! The whole day was fun, love-filled and Christ-centered. We had a great time, and truly couldn’t be happier for the newlyweds!

What sweet favors for their guests! Steven and Elise kept with the musical theme and made CD’s of their favorite songs for their guests to listen to on their way to the reception!
This bridal party was so much fun! The guys were all for some fun shots!
Handmade paper decor hanging from the ceiling made from sheet music… There was also a hot-chocolate bar!
There was a painter, who painted a scape of the reception area… DURING the reception! Later, from a photo, the artist will paint in Steven and Elise dancing to their first-dance-song on the dance-floor!
