Steve and Ashley’s wedding was an honor for us to have captured! They were very well-researched on photographers in the area when they hired us. Not only are Steve and Ashley diligent planners, but they are such fun, awesome people. It was extremely important to these two that their family and friends (who came from far and wide) come together for a fun-filled celebration of their love and commitment. They were meticulous in their planning, and it paid off beautifully! Their wedding was just lovely, from all of their perfectly coordinating fonts, prints and colors, to the obvious excitement felt by all throughout their entire day. Steve and Ashley left almost no stone of tradition unturned- their programs were extremely original, their decor was modern and vibrant, they wrote their own vows and even surprised everyone and smashed the cake in their fathers’ faces instead of each others! They did forgo a “first-look” and waited to see each other until Ashley walked down the aisle, but she graced the ceremony to the tune of “She’s Everything” by Brad Paisley instead of the traditional bridal march! Enjoy a few of our faves from Steve and Ashley’s wedding!

Owen & Heather’s wedding was a unique blend of casual, traditional and rustic elegance. We loved their wildflower bouquets (by Ribald Farms Nursery & Florist), eclectic centerpieces and mini-cupcake desserts! As musicians, both Heather and Owen put together a very special ceremony- Owen wrote the music to which Heather walked down the aisle, and arranged an operatic number for his father to sing during the ceremony. Their color palette of khaki, coral and green set the tone perfectly for their rural reception in the countryside of York, SC. The reception was personal and centered around good music and dancing!

OK- Can we just say, we love brides who come to us with innovative ideas! Molly knew from our very first meeting that she wanted her bridal portraits taken in a coffee shop, and when the time came around to shoot her bridals, there were two that we had picked out! We started at The Smelly Cat in NoDa, a unique coffee house and wine bar, and wrapped up the shoot at Amelie’s, a 24-hour french cafe and bakery. We love that Molly let her bridal portraits be inspired by her love of coffee! We had an absolute blast getting to work with an entirely new backdrop, and of course Molly, being her adorable self, looked positively picturesque against it. Enjoy a few of our favorites from Molly’s bridal session!
