dairy barn wedding | chris + mary

Chris & Mary’s sweet southern wedding at the Dairy Barn in Fort Mill was absolutely beautiful- one of our favorites of the year! Not only was every navy and blush-pink detail styled and executed perfectly by the couples’ wonderful wedding-planners, Moxie Studios, but Chris and Mary are just such a sweet couple that we couldn’t help but enjoy capturing every moment of their joy. The beautiful greenway grounds surrounding the barn were in full bloom and a gorgeous sunset gave us the perfect backdrop for post-ceremony photos. The newlyweds’ guests had a blast dancing the night away in genuine celebration of Chris and Mary’s marriage. Couldn’t be happier for these two! Enjoy a bunch of our favorites from Chris and Mary’s wedding, and see a list of their vendors at the bottom of the post!

ballantyne country club wedding | tom + caitlin

Tom and Caitlin’s May wedding was an absolutely beautiful one for us to photograph! Not only was this couple beyond photogenic, but Caitlin chose a very specific element of “something old” to incorporate into their day that truly made these images special: she wore her grandmother’s wedding gown- and she looked like Cinderella in it too! This is something we’ve seen only a few times over the last several years of photographing weddings, and honestly we wish we’d see this lost tradition manifest more often! Not only are the clean lines of many vintage styles classic and timeless, but the sentimentality of wearing a gown that’s been in one’s family for generations is truly beautiful. And as you can see from these images, Caitlin pulled off this gown in spades! Another thing that really stood out to us about Tom and Caitlin’s wedding day was how awesome their bridal party was. It’s often (and understandable) that, by the time we get to bridal-party photos after a ceremony, many bridesmaids and groomsmen are ready to be done posing for the camera and are ready for a cocktail! But this group was wonderful to work with because they were willing to cut loose and be silly in a few photos. The couple’s lovely navy-and-blush palette perfectly complimented their reception venue, the Ballantyne Country Club, and after Caitlin changed out of her grandmother’s gown into a reception-dress, the party continued well into the night thanks to wonderful entertainment by Split Second Sound! Enjoy a bunch of our favorites from Tom and Caitlin’s wedding, and see a list of their vendors at the bottom of the post!

chetola resort wedding in blowing rock, nc | kris + emily

Kris and Emily’s wedding could not have been more picturesque! Beautiful weather, beautiful venue, beautiful light, and a beautiful couple: all ideal ingredients for a beautiful wedding! This couple chose the gorgeous Chetola Resort in the mountains of Blowing Rock, NC for their big day- a gorgeous setting that we could not wait to photograph! We loved Emily’s spring-inspired color-scheme and had an absolute blast photographing this gorgeous couple and their bridal party during sunset! There was a lovely pond with wild swans swimming in it, and we made it our goal to catch the swans in the background of at least a few shots. Unfortunately, most of the swans kept their distance, except for one who honked in Emily’s direction during bridal party photos (we’re thinking he must’ve thought she was another swan in her white gown- hehe). But thankfully that swan glided into a few romantic shots just as the sun was setting, which made for a gorgeous portrait of the newlyweds! And of course we loved all of Emily’s meticulously planned details- as a teacher, she was so organized an on-the-ball throughout her planning of every aspect of her and Kris’s big day. The whole event was an absolute blast for us to have been a part of. Enjoy a bunch of our favorites from Kris and Emily’s wedding, and see a complete list of their vendors at the bottom of the post!
