Dustin and Kera’s wedding was an absolute joy for us to capture! From start to finish, first consult to final delivery of their wedding images, this couple was an absolute joy to work with… Both of them are incredibly sweet, laid-back people who we connected with so well! Their engagement session was a blast to capture for them- these two had been together since high school, and they had an ease and comfort with one another that gave them amazing chemistry in front of the camera. Their wedding day took place at one of our very favorite venues, Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens (getting married there ourselves 5 years ago may have a little something to do with it being one of our faves, lol), a place that holds sentimental value to Kera’s family! It was evident that the friends and family-members that surrounded them on their wedding day were genuinely overjoyed to get to be a part of Dustin and Kera’s special day. The sky lit up with a gorgeous sunset for the ceremony and gave us some of our favorite ceremony-shots we’ve ever taken! Enjoy some of our favorites from Dustin and Kera’s wedding, and see a list of participating vendors at the bottom of this post.

We absolutely loved getting to reconnect with Evin and Marissa, one of our favorite wedding clients from 2012! Their beautiful Charleston got a little rained out, so on their wedding day we weren’t able to get too many shots of them outdoors. In celebration of their first anniversary, we got together at the Greenway in Fort Mill underneath the gorgeous autumn colors and captured some gorgeous and snuggly sunset images of them. Enjoy a bunch of our favorites from Evin and Marissa’s anniversary session!
Welcome to Day 2 of “Getting Caught Up on Blogging Engagement Sessions” week! Today we’re featuring the lovely Josh and Katherine and their late-fall engagement portraits. (I know, about time, right?) This couples’ June 2014 wedding reception will be taking place in uptown Charlotte, and since their wedding images will all be taken in the city, they wanted something a little different for their engagement session. They bundled up in warm pea coats and braved the chilly November weather with us to capture Katherine’s vision for the images in Freedom Park!
We had so much fun getting to know them throughout the session! Up until this point, we had only met Katherine in person and this was our first opportunity to get to know Josh. He totally melted my heart when I asked the two if they were comfortable kissing for a couple of photos and Josh responded, “I have been dying to kiss her this whole time- she’s so beautiful!” …swoon… So. HE’S a keeper! Can’t wait for their wedding this summer but in the meantime, enjoy a few of our favorites from Josh and Katherine’s engagement session!
