It’s incredibly surreal to photograph such important times in the lives of one’s siblings! My sister, Kailagh, is getting married… she’s the fifth of six children to get married in the last six years. You’d think I’d be used to seeing my siblings growing up, getting married and starting their lives, but Kailagh is the first girl in our family to get married and for some reason that makes it very different! Thankfully, our family had about two years to get to know Darko as her boyfriend before he proposed to her in his home-country of Montenegro on June 28, 2013 (the same day Melissa and I found out we were expecting our first child)! They’ve been so busy with their senior year at Erskine College, that it wasn’t until the very last week of March 2014 that we all had a free afternoon to spend taking some engagement photos. Avonlea even came along, bundled in her little wrap, strapped onto Melissa. She may or may not have cried the entire time… but we all enjoyed having her crash the shoot, nonetheless. Enjoy a few of our favorites from Darko and Kailagh’s sweet spring engagement session!
We’re posting Andrew and Stephanie’s engagement session today for a very specific reason, in honor of their wedding day! We photographed their engagement session at the State House in Columbia, SC, as Andrew is a lawyer and has spent much time working there in his career. There are also some lovely gardens on the State House grounds surrounding the structure to add some variety in the backdrop! We loved capturing these sweet images of Andrew and Stephanie’s adorable love in such a beautiful setting, and we’re so excited to shoot their wedding today. It’s our first of the year and we’re thrilled to open up our spring season with their event at the prestigious 701 Whaley venue in Columbia, SC. Enjoy a few of our favorites from Andrew and Stephanie’s engagement session!
