FIRST PRINT FEATURE PUBLISHED | CAROLINA BRIDE MAGAZINE

This was our first time submitting our work for publication… and Carolina Bride Magazine featured one of our weddings in their new January-April issue! Congrats to Fred and Stacy Buckley, on becoming our first published couple! ūüôā They were married on October 22, and the deadline for us to send in the images AND the extensive submission form to be filled out by the bride was November 1! Stacy was such a trooper, filling out the long form and sending it to us from Florida just 2 days after returning from her honeymoon! Stacy wrote some truly kind words about us, so pick up a copy of CB to read what she had to say about Project:Life! ¬†And of course our job would have been a LOT harder if Serendipity Weddings & Events hadn’t been there to make the whole event so beautiful. Thanks Stacy, Carrie Ann, and of course, Carolina Bride for giving us this chance to become published : )

We’re scattered a few more times throughout this issue of Carolina Bride. Photos of two more of our couples, Aaron and Dena as well as Tate and Kelly¬†can be found in Carolina Bride’s “Wedding Album.”¬†Serendipity Weddings & Events¬†used one of our images from our collaborated styled shoot with The¬†Cordial Churchman¬†to promote “Stems by Serendipity.” Our new logo is displayed in our own business spotlight! And, of course, Fred and Stacy are featured again in our ad.

Lastly, I put together a super-cute centerpiece last night- we had Brian’s brother and sister-in-law over for dinner and… I’m not gonna lie… we made some delicious food. But I can’t really get over this tulip centerpiece… so I snapped some photos this morning as I was documenting our Carolina Bride feature, and included them at the bottom of this post : )

GLENCARIN GARDENS MATERNITY SESSION | DEREK + SHANTI

Today was our first ever maternity shoot! When Shanti first asked us to take her maternity portraits several months ago, we scheduled a coffee date with her and Derrick. We had such a good time with them! We had been so used to shooting weddings and engagement/bridal portraits of clients who we would meet with for consultations first, we had become accustomed to getting to know our clients really well before they ever stepped foot in front of the camera, haha! Derrick and Shanti were great subjects to shoot- they were very natural in front of the camera. We came away with a bunch for really great shots, but here’s a few for s preview!¬†

UNDERWATER BRIDAL SESSION | JOSH + LINSEY

MOST. FUN. SHOOT. ever. We have been acting like little kids all week, anxiously awaiting this shoot! A very special thanks to Josh and Linsey, one of our couples whose wedding we shot in September of 2010, for being willing to jump in a pool in their wedding attire : ) It was not easy for them, moving around underwater and staying afloat in heavy layers of clothes that weighed them down. Linsey’s dress was perfect- the cathedral train was beautiful and dramatic flowing in the water. And the flowers- ohh the flowers! Are they not spectacular? These were shot at Josh’s grandfathers house in Charlotte. A HUGE thank-you to Ribald Farms Nursery & Florist for their custom designs! I know that when I asked Ribald owner, Shawna, to create some bouquets specifically for an underwater shoot, it may not have been the easiest request. But they did an amazing job!

AHHHHH!!!! We’re so excited to show these to the world! Leave us lots of comments : )
