Reilly and Caroline’s lovely wedding was planned around a perfect blend of tradition and fun! Their ceremony was held at Myer’s Park United Methodist Church, a church where Caroline’s family has deep roots, and where she was baptized as a baby. The opted to forego a first look and waited to see each other until their ceremony, and planned accordingly for plenty of time for photos afterwards 😉 But they also booked the Design Center Atrium in South End for their reception: an eclectic space where they carefully arranged seating and food to encourage their guests to stay on their feet dancing, eating and mingling all night long! As much as they valued tradition for their ceremony, they wanted their reception to be fun, free-flowing and the farthest thing from “stuffy!” And I’d say they nailed it. Brian and I had such a blast with them, their bridal party and their families on this day… Caroline truly studied and took to heart the education provided in the Client Wedding Guide (she was one of my first brides to receive one), and the result was a beautiful event and an even more beautiful day full of fun, family, friends and wholehearted celebration. So excited to get to show off Sweet Caroline’s lovely bridal portraits on the blog today! This gorgeous girl is married, which means we can finally reveal her bridal look to the world. I knew right off the bat when I met Caroline that her classic taste would lead to a beautiful, timeless gown and a stunning location for her portraits… and she did not disappoint! We photographed Caroline’s bridals at the Duke Mansion in Charlotte, a venue Caroline had considered for her wedding. She loved the black-and-white marble floor, the colonial trim on the walls, and the white, bridal aesthetic of this historic home. It was the perfect backdrop for her satin, A-line gown and lace topper. The house and its gardens were absolutely lovely at sunset and Caroline glowed for these portraits. Perfect hair and makeup by Emily Paige and bouquet by Carey Roberts Design Co. certainly didn’t hurt either! We had fun taking them and we can’t wait to show off her equally beautiful wedding images soon. Enjoy a few of our favorites from Caroline’s bridal session!
I had the absolute honor in June of photographing the beautiful wedding day of such a sweet friend! Sarah and I met almost a decade ago in college, working at our silly little tanning salon job! As a talented artist, Sarah did my wedding day makeup and she’s dolled up several of my brides since Brian and I started this business. Throughout the highs and lows of the last several years, Sarah has never wavered in her faith that God is in control and the He had the perfect husband waiting for her. Her wedding day to Peter, her Prince Charming, was simply one of the purest, intimately beautiful and love-filled days I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. I couldn’t help but beam with happiness for this darling girl all day long. I’m so thrilled that Peter and Sarah have found each other and are now settled in as husband and wife. Enjoy a few of our favorites from Peter and Sarah’s wedding day!
