Y’all it is HERE! It’s finally here. I have been working hard… very hard… on something I am incredibly proud of and beyond excited to be able to offer exclusively to Project:Life Photo clients!

Over the last few years, since becoming parents, wedding photography has become a whole different ballgame. There have been more than one instance where we’ve had to reevaluate how we do business, and even if we could continue this business at all with all of the demands of raising a child with handicaps and special needs. We came to the conclusion last year that we needed to make some changes to not only streamline our communication with our clients (email templates and form responses to frequently asked questions were not cutting it on the time-saving end), but also create a better experience for them at the same time! I spent 6 months of late nights (4am bed-times and 7am alarms), writing every word, hand-selecting the perfect images, and setting every tiny detail in place on every page as I birthed the Project:Life Photography CLIENT WEDDING GUIDE.

As of the beginning of 2017, we’ve been providing this extensive Client Wedding Guide to each new client that books us for their wedding. This 70-page, coffee-table style book educates our clients on how to prepare for their engagement session and bridal portraits, how to plan their wedding day timeline for the photos of their dreams, sample timelines to maximize their photography coverage and much, MUCH more! Our 2017 brides who’ve had the opportunity to utilize the guide in preparation for their wedding or portrait session have given it the highest of praises. Brian and I are immensely proud of this Guide, not only as a quality product but as a luxury service that equips our couples with all the information necessary to plan their wedding for the best images possible.

As I mentioned previously, this guide is only available exclusively to Project:Life Photo couples! To secure your copy, reach out to us via the “contact & investment” tab above to start a dialogue with us and see if we might be the perfect fit for your wedding day. We only accept 12 wedding commissions per year, and we reserve each of those bookings for couples we feel are an excellent match for our photography style and personality. We can’t wait to hear from you and put one of these awesome Client Wedding Guides in your hands ifwe’re the perfect fit for you!

This shoot was quite a feat of accomplishment! I began planning this styled shoot in January of 2016, and planned to shoot it in February of 2016. I lined up models (former wedding clients, Joel + Kayla Bowen), and vendors and began collecting details for a late Feb. shoot at Fenland Christmas Tree Farm when our daughter, Avonlea, had to be rushed to Levine Children’s Hospital the week before we planned to shoot! She ended up staying at Levine for over a week, so we postponed the shoot and it was a good thing too, because I ended up going into labor 4 weeks early with our little Violet just 3 days after Avonlea came home from Levine! Finding an alternative date proved difficult, and the shoot kept getting pushed back and back until September! By the time the date was finalized, a couple of the vendors who had been willing to participate originally were unavailable. New Creations Flowers stepped in at the very last minute the week of the final shoot-date with gorgeous flowers! Velo Creative overnighted stationary, and final pieces of wardrobe and decor were pieced together just days before the shoot. But it all came together beautifully! We couldn’t have asked for a better outcome and we were absolutely thrilled when the shoot was published on Borrowed & Blue, a national wedding style blog, as well as Bustl’d, a wedding blog local to the Charlotte area!

Steve and Ashley’s wedding was an honor for us to have captured! They were very well-researched on photographers in the area when they hired us. Not only are Steve and Ashley diligent planners, but they are such fun, awesome people. It was extremely important to these two that their family and friends (who came from far and wide) come together for a fun-filled celebration of their love and commitment. They were meticulous in their planning, and it paid off beautifully! Their wedding was just lovely, from all of their perfectly coordinating fonts, prints and colors, to the obvious excitement felt by all throughout their entire day. Steve and Ashley left almost no stone of tradition unturned- their programs were extremely original, their decor was modern and vibrant, they wrote their own vows and even surprised everyone and smashed the cake in their fathers’ faces instead of each others! They did forgo a “first-look” and waited to see each other until Ashley walked down the aisle, but she graced the ceremony to the tune of “She’s Everything” by Brad Paisley instead of the traditional bridal march! Enjoy a few of our faves from Steve and Ashley’s wedding!
