Priya and Nirav’s wedding was our first Indian wedding we’d ever captured! We were beyond blown-away when we met with Priya initially, and she told us that she specifically wanted to hire a photographer who had not photographed an Indian wedding before- she wanted someone with genuine excitement and a fresh perspective. We were honored that she chose us, and had an absolute blast working with her and Nirav throughout their engagement! From their engagement session, to their Sangeet the evening before the wedding, to the 16-hours of shooting the day of the wedding, Priya was both organized and laid-back, and she and Nirav had a ton of fun celebrating their marriage with family and friends. She was awesome about educating us beforehand on what was most important to her for us to capture! We were able to approach our first Indian wedding with confidence and the ability to enjoy every moment, as we knew what was happened every step of the way… and we walked away wishing we too had been raised in a culture that had taught us to dance! Hehe. We’re so thrilled to be able to share these images with the world! Enjoy a few (okay… a lot more than a few) of our favorites from Nirav and Priya’s wedding day!
Priya and Nirav’s Sangeet (an intimate dinner and dancing celebration that took place on the eve of the wedding-day) was really our induction into photographing Indian culture. Priya is the perfect balance of organized + laid back, and she did an amazing job preparing us for what their 2 days of wedding festivities would require of us! And after their 16-hour wedding day, we were so thankful that Priya and Nirav had hired us to capture their Sangeet as well, as it was a perfect introduction to what was to come: great family, fast friends, exotic food, stunning decor, dancing that made us wish we had even an ounce of rhythm in our own bodies, and an absolute ton of fun! We’re so excited to finally post these images from Priya and Nirav’s Sangeet, and even more excited to post the images from their beautiful wedding, coming up on the blog in the next couple of days!
